Gas Fired Conveyor Ovens: Not Just for Pizza

There's plenty of examples of pizzerias and pizza shops across Australia using our Zanolli conveyor ovens to cook pizza, but there's plenty more they can do.

One of our customers is a successful Wollongong restaurateur who serves traditional Lebanese pita bread with every meal served for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were actually surprised by the sheer quantity he produces on a daily basis.

Sam previously relied on the labour intensive wood-fired oven method to cook pita bread for his loyal customers, who come from all parts of New South Wales to visit his restaurant. While he initially scoffed at the idea, we convinced him to consider using a Zanolli gas fired conveyor oven to keep up with demand.

The thought of using something other than wood fire to rise his pita and generate a fluffy texture was almost horrifying to Sam, but once we demonstrated what our conveyor ovens could do he started to come around.

Sam quickly realised that he could save considerable labour and running costs with a conveyor oven, and was surprised to learn that our mid range gas conveyor could produce up to 350 pieces of delicious pita bread every hour: four times the amount he could using the previous wood-fired method.

But what about the taste, freshness and cooking results? Let's just say, Sam hasn't looked back since we installed his Zanolli conveyor oven. He's a very happy customer, with every pita bread that comes out of the oven cooked consistently to his own high standards by the same staff member that does the prep work.
