Belt Cutter Shreds Through 2.5 Tonnes Per Week

The BD75LA is a purpose-built belt cutter designed specifically for cutting leafy greens and other soft fruits and vegetables. What better piece of equipment, then, for a providore with a massive new contract?

Frank is a providore from Eastern Sydney who recently received a contract from a major supermarket chain to produce finely cut parsley, leek, baby spinach, Chinese cabbage, capsicum and dill. To satisfy their national supply chain needs, the supermarket needed hundreds of kilograms of this produce every day, so Frank knew he needed a reliable solution quick.

After trying a variety of food processors of all types, brands and sizes, he still couldn't get a reliable, consistent result. Whether the cuts were incorrect, the machine was getting clogged or the soft greens were getting damaged and squashed, Frank thought he was all out of options.

That is, until he tried the purpose built BD75LA belt cutter. Leafy greens and other soft produce is what the BD75LA was specifically designed to handle. 12 months later and Frank has been consistently delivering produce that meets the strict standards required by the supermarket chain.

Variable knife and conveyor belt speeds allow Frank to precisely define the cuts he needs

Each week, Frank produces:

  • 960kg of finely cut leek
  • 560kg of finely cut spinach
  • 230kg of parsley
  • 420kg of Chinese cabbage (shredded wombok)
  • up to 90kg of sliced mushrooms; and
  • up to 180kg of sliced capsicum.

That's an average of close to 2.5 tonnes of produce from this belt cutter every seven days, and it's only being used at a fraction of its potential.
